Plumas Health Care Foundation was founded in 1982 by a group of local residents who wanted to ensure ongoing, locally managed support for quality medical care in our community.
PHCF was re-energized with new momentum in 2007 “to provide fundraising support and assure high quality health care services are available today and in the future.” The new Board of Directors established many programs and events that are continue today, including the Guardian Angel Brochure and Starry Mountain Nights, the Foundation’s premier annual fundraiser. They knew that a financially healthy hospital was vital to the future of the place they called home.
We understand that our hospital is built of more than bricks and mortar. PDH is committed to partnering with patients and their families to provide compassionate, high quality care. That was true 50 years ago when the community came together to build this hospital and it is still true today. Plumas county’s residents count on PDH to deliver the health care they need, close to home. We, in turn, count on your generosity to continue to make it all possible.
Since its inception, the Foundation has contributed more than $250,000 in equipment and facility upgrades to Plumas District Hospital. With community support, Plumas Health Care Foundation works to ensure that high quality health care services are available today and will be here tomorrow, for patients, community and staff.
